[Vietnam] The 4th Annual International Conference “Applied Nanotechnology & Nanomaterials”
 
On 17th – 18th November, 2016, Hebronstar attended the 4th Annual International Conference, which main topic was “Applied Nanotechnology & Nanomaterials”, at SHTP in District 9, HCMC. We had an opportunity to listen to scientists, investors and entrepreneurs around the world sharing their knowledge and their opinion on new materials and nanotechnology prospects in the future. More importantly, on the first day of the conference, Mr. Kim Hyung Jin signed the Memorandum of Understanding on accelerating program named H-Camp Vietnam with SHTP.
 
[Indonesia] Indonesian Animator Behind Upcoming Disney Movie
Indonesian animator Griselda Sastrawinata said her work in the upcoming Disney animation “Moana” required extensive research into Polynesian culture.

The California-based artist spoke to media at a press conference in Jakarta on Friday (11/11) as part of the Walt Disney Studios’ first “Hometown Hero Tour” in Indonesia to promote its latest animated movie, which follows the story of Moana Waialiki, a sea voyaging enthusiast, as she sails out on an epic journey to help her family.
[Indonesia] Indonesian Warungs to Open Across Eastern Europe
As Indonesian cuisine has won the hearts of many across Western Europe, there has been a growing penchant for Indonesia’s delectable slow-cooked beef curry dish known as rendang in Warsaw, Poland.

A young Polish entrepreneur, Mateusz Rybinski, a former student of the Airlangga University in Surabaya, East Java, fell in love with Indonesian food and dreamt of bringing the cuisine home.

The dream came after many trips to Indonesia, during which Rybinski studied the tastes, flavors and cooking techniques from various local chefs. Like many of them, he also began his culinary career as a street food vendor.

Coffee is now the second most consumed drink in Indonesia, beaten only by the humbler tea. And over the last ten years, Indonesia’s coffee industry has really hit its stride.

 
[Vietnam] Co-working spaces burgeoning in Ho Chi Minh City
Over the past few years, dozens of co-working spaces have sprung up in the southern metropolis, providing an auspicious new working space for fledgling and freelance office workers and entrepreneurs.

Co-working is a modern-day model in which individuals pay to use a shared working space.

In co-working environments, young office workers are no longer confined to the conventional workplace, using the social aspect of the venue as an opportunity to interact and take on more challenges alongside other like-minded professionals.
 
[Vietnam] Microsoft joins Vietnam in supporting startup community
Microsoft Vietnam has signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to back the local startup community in terms of information technology.

The memorandum was signed on Monday between Microsoft and the Vietnam Silicon Valley (VSV).

VSV is a pioneering project jointly executed by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Vietnamese government to create an entrepreneurial ecosystem which focuses on innovation and commercialization.

TECHFEST, the largest annual event for Vietnam’s startup community, was hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology on 12th – 13th November, 2016 in Hanoi.Participating in this event, Hebronstar and NATEC (National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development, Vietnam) both signed on Memorandum of Understanding.
