[Indonesia] Govt Cancels 3,143 Problematic Regional Regulations | ||||
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has announced the cancellation of more than 3,000 problematic regional regulations in an effort simplify and unite both the central and regional governments’ visions.
“From the [central] government’s evaluation, there are 3,143 problematic regulations hampering the national capacity and speed in winning the global competition, as well as opposing with the spirit of unity in diversity,” Jokowi said at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday (13/06) as quoted in a statement. | ||||

[Vietnam] Guest workers to again head to South Korea | |
South Korea and Vietnam will re-sign a suspended Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Vietnamese guest workers heading to the country under the Employment Permit System (EPS) Program from 2017.
Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung and Minister of Labor and Employment Lee Ki-kweon will re-sign the MoU during the latter’s visit to Vietnam from May 17. |
