He explained that currently the number of workforce in Indonesia reached 122.4 million people . Of that number, 114 million of whom have jobs . While the rest are still unemployed.

Indonesia plans to lower income tax rates for individuals, the finance minister said on Tuesday, in its latest bid to get better tax compliance.
“We will make income tax for individuals and companies more competitive,” Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro said.

The Social Security Administration Body for Employment, or BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, has teamed up with motorcycle taxi app Go-Jek to provide insurance, protection and education for occupational hazards.
Hundreds of Go-Jek drivers swarmed BPKS Ketenagakerjaan’s head office in Jakarta on Sunday (17/04) to collect insurance membership cards and take part in an introduction course on employment insurance.
[Vietnam] Graduate unemployment heads upwards
The number of jobless graduates is on the rise in Vietnam, reaching 225,500 in the third quarter of 2015, up 13 per cent and nearly 30 per cent, respectively, against the second quarter and the same period of 2014, according to figures from the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs.
 
[Vietnam] First multi-employer employment agreement signed
Vietnam’s first multi-employer collective agreement was signed on January 14 by four tourism enterprises in central Da Nang city, the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Vietnam has announced.
The agreement is expected to benefit 700 workers, 60 per cent of whom are women, employed by the Vietnam Vitours Tourism JSC, the Phuong Dong Viet Tourism JSC, the Phu An Thinh Trade and Tourism Co., and Saigontourane Hotel.
[Vietnam] 2016 unemployment rate expected at 2.2%
The expected stable economic growth in 2016 is projected to positively affect the labor market, curbing the unemployment rate among people of working age to 2.2 per cent.
Following improvements last year the outlook for the labor market remains optimistic, according to the Director of the Institute of Labor Science and Social Affairs, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Huong.
